Fast brush strokes using Kolinsky watercolor bushes and real oil paints placed quickly on a tiny 5″ x 7″ Belgian linen board resulted in this plein air painting “Beach Day” which is one of my favorites and still in the Collection of the Artist. There may have been one or two sailboats out in the ocean that day, but I threw more in just for fun. I love painting children. They rarely sit still.
