This is Arasapha Farm in Chester County, Pennsylvania where Anne’s sheep live. In the summertime,
we would watch as the men skillfully sheared these sheep. The wool then went to Maine where they were made in a special way into warm blankets and beautiful yarns that were non-allergic due to the process. When I painted this en plein air, it was summer, the sheep were beyond the barn, and a tree was where
the sheep are – – but that is what makes painting such fun – moving things around!
