Maine Fishing Shack was painted plein air in a cove near Damariscotta. The dull orange-brown seaweed became prominent as the tide went out and I tried to capture this with my transparent watercolors. The original 8″ x 7″ painting is framed with a 2″ off-white mat around it. After painting, we went on to have a lobster dinner. We’d already had lobster salad for lunch and Eggs-with-Lobster Benedict for breakfast. Maine lobster is delicious!
